Long Over Due!!!

I know, I haven't posted on here in FOERVER! I hope everyone is haveing a wonderful summer, we are! I took and passed (with A's) 2 summer classes, so now I am a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)! I get to wipe butts and clean crap and get PAID!! hahahaha Now I just need to get a job. I've applied to both hospitals so I hope to hear something soon! (Pray for me!)

We started the summer off with birthdays! I can't believe Cohen is FIVE already! And my baby is THREE!! (is it time for another yet!?!) Since Randy and I have both been so busy we've been fishing alot to be with the kids. I still haven't caught a stinkin fish! Cohen has caught the most! Corbin and I aren't so patient!! We like to cast it out and reel it in!!! And we've gone to Roswell a few times and to the Ranch to work cows. Tball season came and went so fast! It was alot of fun again! Cohen LOVED playing! About half way thru the season he started hitting the ball really well and making it to second base! (hes' slow so 2nd base is amazing!) And was even able to play the whole game when they let him! He misses now but we play catch alot!

Corbin is growing like a weed. He is tall and skinny and can't keep shorts up because he has no hips and no butt!! He thinks he is just as big as Cohen and does just about everything Cohen does, except the monkey bars! I had to put a stop to that one!! He kind of has issues with me right now, I think its because I have been gone with school. And the Horrible 3's are all rolled into one.

Randy and I have the front of the house ready for the rocks! We got the base coat on today and I hope we do it all right from here on out! This is the side that people will see! :S And I'm nervous about it looking odd! I think we're going to do rock it this week while the kids are in Lubbock! Or not, I could use a few days of lounging!!

Also, I am no longer a runner up for the Mother of the Year award! I (and Randy mostly) LOST CORBIN!!!! On the 4th of July!! In a mob of people, at a lake!! He was actually found before I knew he was lost, Thank God!! It was the worst feeling in the world. Then Cohen felt bad because he thought it was his fault since they were supposed to STAY TOGETHER! hahaha But we assured him it was not his fault. I'm afraid to take them to El Paso yet I lose them in Dexter, a po-dunk dairy town with less than 1000 residents! hahaha Thankfully they were both accounted for when we left and still are here.

We've also had a litter of puppies! 11 again! This time they have all survived and have found good homes! Except for one, he must be special! They have been alot of fun and watching them grow so fast has been an experience! I didn't name any of them, I didn't get attached to any of them, and I didn't cry when any of them left!! Amazing, I know, but I was so busy with school, I barely had time to feed them all!! And I don't think we're going to have any more! Dixie was being sucked to death by 3 weeks! I was feeding them puppy milk and rice cereal as soon as their eyes were open and walking around! And the first few left at 5 weeks! She still looks way too skinny, but I hope with only one puppy left she'll fatten back up soon!
I'll try to keep this thing up to date a little better now that I'm not SO busy! Enjoy the pics!

just another day at the Reed house!

Lizzards

To start the morning off, Bella kept pouncing around playing with what I thought was a feather, but eventually realized it wasn't a feather. Corbin wanted to keep it, but this time I said no! I don't want another mouth to feed (and Dixie's about to pop, again!) Corbin was sad, but he was a big boy and let it go!

T-ball
Around here T-ball practice gets cancelled at least once a week, due to wind...so Randy took it upon himself to have practice with Cohen today. Our big tall fense protects us from the wind back there (for the most part)!

Haircuts
And Randy gave them both haircuts this afternoon and they look so much better! Anyway, Randy just informed me that I don't have time off until suppers cooked! HAHAHA Boy does he have something else coming to him! Cohen wants everyone to see his short hair! Corbin just want the food!

Gardening
And, the boys and I planted flowers today but I don't have any pictures of that! Amazing I know! They even got to pick out their own batch! Cohen picked red patunias and Corbin picked some little blue flowered things...not blue bonnets, but I don't know what they are! Ok, I'm starting to get really hungry now and the meat has been marinating long enough!
Corbin wants to put the movie I took up...he's about to have a break down about it! So enjoy!!

Our Housing Update

Well, as some of you might know...we ended up paying someone else to finish. Actually we just wanted him/them to put the colored coat on so it would look right. So Noel came by and informed us that what we'd done wasn't right, and we were done with all 3 sides (except the color coat). UGH. So, he said he can fix it by putting a whole new coat on top of what we'd done to smooth it out and make it even....for $1400. We don't have a money tree, but I think my Mom does, I hope she does...because she saved us and was brave enough to lend us the money!
THANKS MOM!!!

So, they started working on Monday and finished today around 3. It looks amazing. These pics don't show it very well, but it really looks so awesome! They did in 3 days what its taked us 3 months to do! And they did it right!

And Cohen/ the Stinger's had their first Tball game yesterday (we missed it) but they won!!! Woo Hoo. Our next game is on Saturday at 10am. And this team has been practicing since January, twice a week! I know one of the players and his Mom...They mean business!!!!

And Corbin building fire stations and houses for his cars and dinosaurs!

T-Ball'in with Daddy

Randy and the boys playing catch...not very good pictures b/c I was hiding by the back door so they wouldn't see me! They played for several hours! Most things go for a few minutes,
20-30 at most before they are bored with it, but not today!! I was amazed! Maybe they'll go to bed and to sleep fast tonight...they are in the bath right now! I know, as long as I can hear them...they aren't drowning, OK!!

Yes, Randy was playing with the legos, he hates for toys to be in the livingroom unless he gets to play!!! What-a-baby!

Shoes and Hard Hat Required!

For starters, the wind isn't blowing today, and I hope it stays this way. Not sure about the rest of the world, but it has been SO WINDY here!

Leslie and Lesa came down for a few days and we got a lot done on the house. When I saw 'we', I mean Randy and Leslie. I hammered in some nails, but thats about it.

Anyway, I have to go put sheets on Corbins bed, we're trying to transition from pullups at night to big boy undies and washing sheets everyday is a pain in my...you know what. When he wears a pullup, he wakes up dry...when he wears undies, he pees...I'm not sure whats going on!!

Thowing on some base coat, I'll stand around and take some pictures...I'm not much help when I'm "not in the mood"....hahaha

And our lovely garden is surviving the wind!

White Trash Living - Part 2

Well, its been a few weeks since this project got started...Its starting to look really amazing! It makes the house look so different with the white shingles gone. Well, they aren't all gone but one wall is well under way and we started the back side today. Randy has to go back to work tomorrow and then our next days off we'll be in Lubbock, so it'll look like yuck for a while before we can get back to it. Oh well...And we got our rocks delivered so with the trailor piled with sand and the 10 boxes of fake rocks in my driveway, I park across the street... = The motorcycle is parked on the walk way...its pretty crazy!

White Trash Livin'

We better not live like this for long! The ugly white shingle things look better than this! hahaha Randy got off early yesterday and decided to get started...and I picked up as much as I could, but the pickup got full before it all got picked up! :( So it looks even worse when driving by! But, it will look a million times better when it all gets done! And I can't wait!!!
The chimny bricks are not coming down, we are going to put rocks on it as well. And the this side here, the back and the other side will be done in the elastomeric stucco stuff that expands and recoils with the weather. And its not supposed to crack! So...its a work in progress and there ain't no turnin' back!

The front of the house will be rocked, "Country Rubble".
<----This is the style of the rock, but I can't remember what colors are in the boxes...we got it from a guy that sells it, but the people that ordered it never came to pick it up so we got it half off!!! But its the color they picked...and I'm not real sure what that is! I hope its not white!! I want SOME color!!! Yes, we were able to see the rocks, but I honestly can't remember the colors, I was just happy because there were enough boxes and we were able to get it half off!!! What I didn't know until we were looking at them, they are individual rocks, not sheets...so each and every rock will be laid with love and touched by some ones hand...I hope not all of them have my finger prints...
So, whose coming to visit?!?! (we need some cheap workers!)
